Life Is Magic When You Believe....
64Faith.
A word used in many ways, but rarely in its truest sense.
Having faith and belief is a difficult concept to explain to someone
who has none. Its like trying to explain the concept of colour to
someone who has been blind from birth, but research shows, that even
those who are born blind dream in colours. In a dream state, it is the
soul which is perceiving the colours in life, and even those born blind
have a soul. It is when you become aware of your soul that the first
seeds of faith begin to grow.
As with all seeds, they need to germinate, and grow toward the light.
People, like plants need a watchful, caring gardener, with years of
horticultural experience, to know how to nurture that tiny seed into a
fully grown blossoming flower. It takes time, love, warmth,
nourishment, and light. Even the rain which sometimes falls in our
lives is beneficial for growth.
If only more people recognised this every day miracle, the world would have a lot less unhappy people in it.
I have learned this week, that I have a vast horticultural knowledge
and expertise to help even the most dormant of seeds grow to their full
potential.
I am happy to see so many people growing toward the light, because I took care to help them germinate.
Deep underground in the dark airless soil, putting down a single tap
root, is the first stage, anchoring itself into the earth, the solid
foundation for growth, and slowly seeing a small shoot reach upward,
pushing the soil, the obstacles it encounters out of the way as it
strive to break the surface toward the warmth of a loving sun. Nurtured
and protected from frost and pests, the gardener encourages new growth
with constant care and watchful eyes, seeing the changes in weather and
taking precautionary measures to allow new leaves to grow on the young
plant.
Spring is here.
All living things have new growth, the dead wood cut away, and new
shoots sprout from dormant and often winter damaged limbs, bring new
greenery, and new life into the garden.
And the gardener has faith.
Faith that with care, nature will take its course, the nurturing given
with love and attention to the smallest detail causes the plants to
flourish and bear fruit.
The gardeners faith in nature and care makes the plant flourish, even when it has none of its own.
Because the gardener has faith in its truest sense.
I'm looking forward to seeing the summer flowers in full bloom.
Because its this riot of colour that gives us such joy and makes our souls sing and dance along the paths we take.
Because I have faith, even if the seed doesn't.

I have faith too, Lou! Plenty of it, as you know, and strong love for watching flowers grow!
